Back in February, Cascine Records released Yumi Zouma’s debut EP and it managed to gain quite a bit of attention across the blogosphere for it’s slick 80s pop sound, completed with earnestly cooed vocals. Recently the members of the disbanded Air France had contacted both Cascine and Yumi Zouma and brought up the possibility of covering their “It Feels Good To Be Around You.” And not only did Yumi Zouma cover their song, the song became a loving tribute to Air France with an introduction and coda that treats the band as a former lover. 

Much like their previous singles, “It Feels Good To Be Around You" consists of layers of synths that seem to evoke melting ice with plaintive vocals and stuttering drums. In some way it bears an uncanny resemblance to acts like Air, St. Lucia and even Haerts
