Based out of Vancouver, BC, Weed has been a part of that city’s DIY scene for the past decade, recording a few 7 inches that got the band quite a bit of attention. And they managed to embark on 4 North American tours – pretty amazing if you consider the band’s DIY nature. Deserve is the band’s latest effort, and “Gun Shy” is the album’s latest single and video. Sonically, it bears a resemblance to Dinosaur, Jr and others – a buzzing, grungy song with an underlying melody, and a catchy hook. 

The video uses some grainy 80s style VHS video, which emphasis the scuzzy feel of the song.
