Brooklyn-based duo the Mast consists of vocalist and instrumentalist Haleh Gafori and percussionist and producer Matt Kilmer. The act’s combination of slickly produced, bass-heavy beats, icy snytns and Gafori’s gorgeous voice. Sonically, their sound bears a similarity with Zambri and others – although their sound is a little bit warmer, and more playfully beguiling, as you’ll hear on “UpUpUpUp.”
