Elephant Stone, led by Rishi Dihr, a renowned sitar player, released their self-titled, sophomore effort through Hidden Pony Records last year, and the material on the album used elements of traditional Eastern instrumentation with Western songwriting and instrumentation to create a densely buzzing and hypnotic drone.  And it was an unusual sound that caught the attention of the blogosphere.

Three Poisons is Elephant Stone’s much-anticipated and forthcoming sophomore effort, slated for an August 26 release. And from the release of the album’s first single “Three Poisons, it was obvious that the material will reflect a very decided change of sonic direction while retaining some elements of the sound that caught attention. "Knock You From Yr Mountain,” the album’s latest single is as expected psychedelic, but it manages to sound as though it borrows a bit from the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, thanks to the backing vocals at the end, which adds a bit of soul to the otherwise trippy proceedings.
