Erika M. Anderson, better known as EMA will be releasing her forthcoming new album The Future’s Void through Matador Records internationally (excluding Europe) on April 8th.

In an interview with NME, Anderson mentioned that the material on The Future’s Void was heavily influenced by Nine Inch Nails demos, William Gibson’s Necromancer and early K Records; however, thematically, speaking the album deals with the increasing commodification of our online lives.

The latest single “3Jane” is a moody, slow-burning track that bears an uncanny resemblance to PJ Harvey and Concrete Blonde’s “Joey” but somehow icier and with a creeping sense of anxious dread just under the smooth surface.
