For bloggers, such as myself, Google can frequently be a marvelous thing.  I’ve had all kinds of artists from all over the world contact me, including most recently Backbone, a French electro pop band. “Blank Field” is their latest single and it’s an airy, ethereal track which bears a resemblance to their fellow Frenchmen in Air – but with subtle bits of industrial clank bubbling up from the surface, as well as electronic squeak and skronk. It adds a little weight to a song that feels as though it could dissipate before your eyes.
