Fronted by Malik Moore, Hepcat’s Alex Desert and DJ Black Shakespeare (a cousin of Robbie Shakespeare of Sly and Robbie fame), the 12 member ensemble of the Lions have made a name for themselves among reggae fans across the world with the release of the old school soul and classic reggae-inspired This Generation last year.

Producer Tom Chasteen, who’s probably best known for the legendary Los Angeles-based reggae party Dub Club has reworked 8 songs from the Lions in a remix album titled This Generation in Dub

Chasteen adds a trippy, cosmic glow with layers upon layers of reverb and delay effects to the Lions’ “Revelations” while retaining the song’s steady riddim, horns and Moore’s silky smooth vocals. In some way, the song sounds as though it could take you to another plane of existence…
