Fronted by singer, dancer, and visual artist Peter LaBier, Psychobuildings is a dark wave collective that has been independently releasing shows since early 2010. With the release of their first 6 songs, they won the attention of several nationally-known blogs including Stereogum, Pitchfork, the Fader, and even Spin Magazine. The video for “Terror Management” is a fittingly trippy, fucked up video for a song that defies easy categorization but it does draw from 80s electro/synth pop, electronica and house music – with scuzzy, sinister undertones. It simply sounds like coked fueled se and mayhem. 

Psychobuildings are playing a couple of CMJ Festival Showcases including the All Hands Electric Showcase at Union Pool on 10/16; the SESAC Showcase at Cake Shop on the 17th; a 10/20 show at Any Old Iron and the Hanky Panky After Party.
