Hamburg, Germany-based duo Chris Burda and Martin Grimm, also known as, Collapse Under the Empire, released their latest effort, Fragments of a Prayer to critical praise. Continuing a rather prolific pace, the band will be releasing a 5 track EP in March 2013. The March release will be a teaser and shorten the release time for new tracks, as the band’s anticipated concept album, Sacrifice & Isolation in October 2013.

For the music video for “The Great Silence,” the latest single from Fragments of a Prayer, the band enlisted students from the Lucerne University of Applied Arts and Sciences in Switzerland.

The video which comprises of stop-motion animation has an astronaut who on a lone mission comes to an unusual and heightened state of understanding. Much like the track itself, the video is hauntingly eerie with an highly surreal sensibility.
