Hannah Thiem is a producer and violinist whose music is influenced by a deep appreciation of electronic and ambient soundscapes, as well as Eastern European, Nordic and Middle Eastern music. “Phavet”(pronounced Fa-vey) is the first single from Thiem’s debut EP BYRM (pronounced breem), and the composition which consists of programmed beats and an Eastern European/Middle Eastern influenced folk violin piece manages to display a subtle, unhurried beauty that feels both ancient and incredibly modern.
