House of Blondes‘ Clean Cuts was one of my favorite albums last year, as it landed in the top 5 of this site’s Best of 2012 list. And the album’s lead single, “Shadows” was one of my favorite singles that year. Mute Records’ Boyd Rice set about remixing the single, and his remix maintains the a great deal of the track’s icy, Kraftwerk-inspired minimalism but with an eerie, menacing industrial clank, clatter and bang.
