Howard Ivans, the lead singer of the Rosebuds and Gayngs is stepping out to do the solo thing with the release of the Red Face Boy/Pillows 7 inch which Spacebomb Records will release on November 19th. And interestingly, the single is a complete and radical change sonically asIvans takes up some sexy, funky soul complete with Quincy Jones-like production – we’re talking about slick horn lines, strings and an insanely sinuous bass line. 

Ivans will be touring during December and it’ll include a December 5th show with dosh and Matthew E. White at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
