It’s Christmastime and we all know what that means – that everyone in the Western world will be inundated with Christmas songs and Christmas compilations of increasingly questionable musical worth. However, one of the more interesting Christmas compilations is the Psych-Out Christmas Compilation, which includes contributions from Iggy Pop, Dead Meadow, Psychic Ills, and several others. Elephant Stone contributes their rendition of “Christmas Time (Is Here Again),” complete with sitar, and it not only makes a subtle, old-world connection, it manages to make the song sound as though it could have been recorded during the Sgt. Pepper sessions.
