Last May, the up-and-coming then-18 year old Nottingham, UK-based singer/songwriter Callum Burrows, who writes, records and performs under the moniker of Saint Raymond won quite a bit of attention across his native UK and globally with the release of his debut EP Escapade, which included the iTunes “Single of the Week” “Fall At Your Feet."

His latest EP Ghostswhich was released a few months ago peaked at #4 on the UK iTunes album chart, thanks in part to lead single "Everything She Wants,” a track that Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1 premiered on his show with a healthy dose of praise for the young singer/songwriter.

In any case, “I Want You,” Burrows’ latest single bears quite a resemblance to another indie pop sensation, St. Lucia, in the sense that sonically the track manages to possess an ethereal quality that belies its dense production. Airy synths are paired with big, room rattling drums. sinuous bass lines and sweetly sung vocals and it’s done so in a way that’s very endearing. And perhaps more important, that it’s just a pretty fucking catchy and summery pop song with a slick hook – that’s actually incredibly sweet.
