Last year was a big year for the Brooklyn-based psych rock band Ancient Sky, as their album T.R.I.P.S. received quite a bit of attention from the blogosphere for a sound that had been described as cacophonous, anxious and apocalyptic.

“Wishing Well” is the latest single from the band’s third and forthcoming album through Wharf Cat Records, All Get Out (which will see a November 12th release) and it continues the band’s reputation for psychedelica as the song manages to employ a gentle bit of drone reminiscent of Eastern music, while having an infectious melody. Much like the album’s first single, there’ s a bit of musical space within the song that creates the sense of a bunch of musicians jamming together.
