Last month, I caught longtime, Montréal-based JOVM mainstays and acclaimed psych pop outfit Elephant Stone play a career-spanning headlining set at TV Eye that featured material from their latest album Back into the Dream, the Francophone effort La voyage de M. Lonely dans la lune and more, as well as a mind-bending, gorgeous cover of The Beatles‘ “Norwegian Wood.”
Local septet EVOLFO played a fun, high-energy set of soulful psych pop that had the entire room shaking their asses.
Local septet Tilden, an act that features a collection of some of the city’s most accomplished and busiest players, opened with a high-energy set of soulful psych pop.
