Live Concert Photography: Kareem Rahma and Tiny Gun with Jasno and Diary at Sleepwalk 5/22/25
Late last month, I caught Cairo-born, New York-based comedian, artist, singer/songwriter and media entrepreneur Kareem Rahma and Tiny Gun play a blistering headlining set of Jim Carroll Band-like post punk at Bushwick’s Sleepwalk.
Queer artist Jasno Swarez and a backing band featuring High Waisted‘s and Diary’s Jessica Louise Dye on bass and Show Brain NYC’s Ozzie on drums playing one of the most unpredictable and downright fun to shoot sets I’ve seen this year.
Opening the night was Brooklyn-based shoegazers Diary, who played a homecoming set, on the heels of a successful UK tour that included an appearance at this year’s FOCUS WALES. Arguably, their Sleepwalk set was the best I’ve heard them to date.
