Live Concert Photography: Lettuce with GZA and Phunky Nomads at Brooklyn Steel 2/7/25

Earlier this month, I caught beloved funk/jam band Lettuce headline Brooklyn Steel. Part of their set featured the band backing the Wu-Tang Clan‘s GZA for a handful of Wu-Tang classics. The rest of their set of featured a collection of deep, funky grooves that had folks moving.

GZA and Phunky Nomads opened the night with a set primarily focused on GZA’s classic Liquid Swords, a cover of ODB‘s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” and more. The hip-hop heads, who showed up were quite pleased.
