Local band Dead Leaf Echo have released a number of singles, remixes and EPs that have caught the attention of bloggers and critics, as well as a busy touring schedule across the US that included playing at SXSW with the Wedding Present, Japanther, A Place to Bury Strangers, and Trail of the Dead. The band’s full-length debut Thought and Language is a concept album that follows the conception and birth of a child and his discovery of thought of language – kind of a heady concept isn’t it?
“Kingmaker” is the first single from the album, and the band released a trippy video for a song that manages to have an uncanny resemblance to that of the Stone Roses.
