Max Decker formed Papertwin in 2009. instead of pursuing a lucrative career as a landscape painter. And after two EPs that received a bit of attention across the blogosphere, the band will be releasing their debut full-length effort, Vox Humana on June 17th.
Produced by Abe Seiferth, who has worked with the likes of Yeasayer, Eleanor Friedberger, Turing Machine, and others the new album expands on the synth sound that they’ve developed over the last few years – as you’ll hear on the gently undulating “Arco,” their material manages to be dark yet ethereal and dreamy, as though it evokes the sound of the post- apocalyptic, dystopian world that we may soon encounter.
