News/Announcements: FREEFORM at Prime Produce NYC 9/19/24

I’m thrilled to announce that I’m taking part in FREEFORM, a cross-disciplinary, live art experiment that will feature live music, visual arts, sculpture, poetry, dance, films, a raffle — and much more at Prime Produce, here in NYC.

By creating a safe space for the exchange of ideas, techniques and for experimentation, artists and the public can explore and grow collaborative connections, while also pushing beyond their regular practice, creating new ways to approach their craft.

This pilot event will serve as a blueprint for future events dedicated to empowering artists, enriching the community, and most importantly, catalyze the Guaranteed Income Movement. To that end, there will be a round table discussion titled “Shifting the Narrative Towards a More Equitable Society” featuring fellow artists from the Creatives Rebuild New York Guaranteed Income project.

The event and discussion will take place in concert with this year’s Basic Income Week of Action from September 16, 2024 – September 22, 2024.

The Vision for FREEFORM:

+ Emergent Creativity: breakdown of both conscious and subconscious barriers, opening the gateway to unconditional creativity. The mind is no longer concerned with whether something is ‘cool.’ or commercially ‘acceptable.’

+ Instinctual Collaboration: creation from a pure source emerges and is shared between artists and the public. The public gains insight into the artistic process while assuming the role of artist alongside the creation itself.

+ Spread awareness about the Guaranteed Income movement: As this project is conceived and carried out by CRNY GI artists, the public is also invited to engage in discussions about the positive impact of Guaranteed Income.

Come to witness or join in and be a part of creative emergence in community, in real time!
