“Oblivion” is the latest single from Bleeding Rainbow’s latest effort, Yeah Right and although the band has publicly claimed that the Everly Brothers was a major influence on this particular track, because of the layered harmonies, I think the track could have easily been influenced by Phil Spector’s famed Wall of Sound production technique for some of the same reasons – the mix is just layer upon layer of vocals, guitars chords played at an angular attack and fed through additional layers of reverb … And the song is pretty catchy.
