Photography: 66th Street, Lincoln Center 1 Station, Downtown Platform 1/12/26
As I mentioned in a previous post, I was at Lincoln Center to cover this year’s globalFEST. More on that later.
Before the last set ended, I had figured out a couple of options on how to head back home, knowing that there was massive amounts of work going on throughout the system. My initial thought was that I’d walk from Lincoln Center to 57th and 6th for the F, but that’s about 12 blocks or so, and I wasn’t really feeling that.
You can see the Downtown 1 train entrance from the second floor. So I figured I’d take the 1 to maybe 59th Street, Columbus Circle for the D or the A. And I’d get the E either at 7th Avenue or 42nd Street. But it turned out that at every single transfer, I had to wait for a train — or there was a delay. So it took two hours for me to get home. Unnecessary but what you can do?
While I was waiting for a Downtown 1, some of the artwork caught my attention — especially the colors.
