I was in Philadelphia earlier this year. It was my first trip out of the New York Metropolitan area in three years. I had stopped by the Philadelphia Museum of Art — only to discover that they were closed on Tuesday. However, I wound up checking out the nearby Fairmount Water Works (which is extremely Instagram-worthy and historic).
Late last month, I was back in Philly and I got a chance to finally check out the Philadelphia Museum Art. I was thrilled to see a few Van Goghs, some Cezannes, a couple of Diego Riveras, some Dalis and surrealists and quite a bit more.
