Last weekend, I went down to Philly for a brief weekend stop, which included covering Kiwi Jr. with Weird Nightmare and Gladie at Johnny Brenda’s. I got down Saturday afternoon and it was a very busy day with a number of stops. including one of my favorite dive bars in town, Tattooed Mom.
Tattooed Mom’s bathrooms and their upstairs reminds me quite a bit of the classic dives I spent way too much time drinking in — Mars Bar, The Library Bar, Siberia, and on and on. Plus, they have toys. And I wound up playing with them half the night while drinking, because why not?
