Photography: Whore Decadence at Brooklyn Bazaar 3/3/18
March 3 is International Sex Workers’ Rights Day, a day that has been recognized and celebrated by sex worker groups across the world since 2001. Earlier this month, several local organizations including GLITS, Inc, NYTAG, SOAR Institute, Caribbean Equality Project, Lysistrata NYC and ARIKA, as well as a collection of activists partnered to present Whore Decadence at Brooklyn Bazaar, a night to honor sex workers and support sexual labor (of all stripes) and included erotic, burlesque performances from Essence Revealed and drag king Damien Morningside, volicast Nadiv, comedians and other performers, as well as a book reading/question and answer session from my dear fiend and colleague, author/photographer Blair Hopkins‘ recently released book, All in a Day’s [Sex] Work.
