Regal Degal is a New York-based trio, by way of Los Angeles, CA of Josh da Costa (guitars and vocals), Josiah Wolfson (bass), and Jamen Whitelock (drums), with additional member Jimi Hey (Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, All Night Radio, Indian Jewelry, and more). Pyramid Bricks, the band’s latest EP, which Terrible Records will release tomorrow was written and inspired by the period the band spent in Los Angeles, and the album may well be the band’s most accessible and personable effort to date.

“Unseen” is the first single from the album, and it reminds me quite a bit of XTC and of Amoral-era Violens – it has a psychedelic bent but Regal Degal’s track is full of burnt out fuzz.
