Russ Manning was formerly a bassist with Twin Shadow and last year, under the moniker Rush Midnight, he released an impressive debut  EP through Cascine Records, +1 which was heavily influenced by the slick, seductive synth pop of the early 1980s. “Don’t Give Me Your Love,” is the first single from Rush Midnight’s forthcoming full-length debut which will be released sometime this year. Unlike the material on +1, “Don’t Give Me Your Love” has an itchier, anxious groove with an urgent plea for the narrator’s lover to leave them be. But the seductive, slickness still remains.
