Seattle, WA-based artist Peter Michel spent a year touring as the drummer for Craft Spells, Michel decided to go solo and released the double A side single “Glow”/“Hollow” earlier this year, under the moniker Hibou. He finished a national tour to support the release of his Dunes EP – it also included opening for the likes of Islands and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. And although most of the critical praise for his work has come from just over the pond, he has hit #1 on KEXP Northwest Music Charts. 

“Hide Away” is the first single off his forthcoming full-length debut, slated for release next year, and the track reminds me so much of mid 1980s New Order, that it makes me feel somewhat nostalgic.
