Self-described as an “electronica infused alternative rock band,” the Hollywood, CA-based quartet of HARRP got their start in 2010 when Brandon Flavin had written a bunch of songs and had an idea of what his band should sound like. He met drummer, Clark Skelton while at the Musicians Institute. The duo of Flavin and Skelton had gone through several rehearsals with guitarists until they met and recruited, another fellow Musician’s Institute student Dan Zerin to join. Caroline Cirone later joined on bass to complete the band and flesh out their sound.

“Dead To Me” is the first single (and video) off their self-titled EP, and sonically it’s a bit of swampy guitar rock reminiscent of the Toadies great Rubberneck album – think “I Come From The Water” perhaps? The official video is perfect for Halloween as it includes a zombie infestation and a playful homage to Wayne’s World as the video was shot in Cassell’s Music Store, where some of the movie’s key scenes were shot.
