Since their formation in 2007, the Mantles have developed a reputation within the Bay Area’s garage rock/lo-fi/pop scene. Their earliest shows were loose and loud bashing with strange chord changes – all while managing to be catchy. But the band constantly refined their sound through their 2009 self-titled release. With the June 18th release of Long Enough to Leave, the band has further refined their sound, while retaining elements of their previous sound – you can still hear the elements of the jangling garage band sound and psychedelica on the band’s latest single “Hello.”

The band is touring throughout the first half of July and it includes two NYC area dates – July 9th at Shea Stadium, and July 13th at Cake Shop
