The Jonathan Scales Fourchestra were recently invited by Hype Mag to do a live session of “Jam We Did,” off their fantastic 2011 release, Character Farm and Other Stories, an album which was on this blog’s Best of 2011 list. These guys are incredibly adept and talented musicians – Scales’ compositions manage to be cinematic while possessing a playful wit. 

Yes, there are some variations during this recording – Phillip Bronson plays a different drum set to accommodate an acoustic session. But the individual musicians solos are as bright and impressive as ever.
