The somber “Marathon,” is the latest video and single off the Heartless Bastards’ recently released album, Arrow. This track dials it down quite a bit, as you hear lead vocalist Erika Wennerstrom’s incredibly bluesy howl over some spare arrangements – the first 2 minutes or so of the song is vocals and guitar, before song builds up to a mighty, crashing crescendo. 

The video has Wennerstrom driving around Austin in an old AMC Pacer picking up hitchhikers who bear an uncanny resemblance to characters from The Wizard of Oz.
