The Swedish trio of Jose Gonzalez (vocals), Elias Araya (drums), and Tobias Winterkorn (keyboards), a.k.a Junip will be releasing their sophomore, self-titled effort through Mute Records on April 23rd.  ”Line of Fire” is the first single from their self-titled album, and I think you’ll notice a couple of things — first, that the song subtly borrows from jazz (and you can hear it in the guitar); and second that the song has an elegant simplicity that’s quite stunning. In some way, it may bear some similarity to Violens great 2010 release, Amoral

The video has a surreal and unsettling beauty – it captures what looks like suburban life with a bemused sort of horror.
