Over the course of a busy year, occasionally something does fall into the cracks but, eventually I catch up – well, mostly. Back in October, I was at the Mercury Lounge to catch the Vandelles and the Octopus Project. I had last caught the Octopus Project for their last New York area show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg about two years ago, and there was a palpable sense of excitement – the Octopus Project play a rather high energy show and the Vandelles matched it.
