Back on September 11, 2005, I had come back home from work, and my father was cooking and playing John Coltrane‘s A Love Supreme. I’ve managed to continue that as a personal tradition: Instead of the violence, bloodshed, terror and senseless loss of that terrible day, I’d rather choose profound beauty; arguably one of the most beautiful, thoughtful albums inspired by God and God’s love — and featuring some of the most talented, legendary musicians to have ever lived.
So with that in mind, it’s an annual tradition around here to share John Coltrane’s masterpiece.
