Although based in Springfield, MO, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Casey Jack spent a long winter in Chicago, IL, where he wound up writing the material which would appear on his self-titled debut effort, before returning to his hometown to record the album – an album in which Jack played every instrument. And the sound he crafted, as you’ll hear on “Not In Love With The Modern World,” is a densely layered power-chord heavy power pop that’s extremely reminiscent of the Foo Fighters; in fact, I think of “Monkey Wrench” off The Colour and the Shape
