Based in Colorado by way of Brooklyn and Vermont, rapper Burntmd teams up with DJ Grazzhoppa on “Together,” the first single from the rappers forthcoming The Green Invasion album which is slated to drop in December. Considering how divisive the last presidential election was, I think we all could use a little bit togetherness, and what makes the song standout for me in particular is the fact that it reminds me so much of what mainstream hip hop needs to do –rappers actually saying something with lyrics, backed by big beats.
