Boys Noize recently released two versions of the official video for “Stop” off his impressive, Out of the Black which was one of my favorite albums last year – he’s also incredible live, and his set at Roseland Ballroom was one of the best sets i’ve seen in some time. This version, which is unfortunately the non-interactive version – sorry y’all – is based around World War 2 pilots with embedded cameras showing the action. (The interactive version which you can catch on Boys Noize’s site allows you to change camera angles – check that out if you get a chance because it’s pretty fucking awesome.)
The concept behind the video works because the whirring sound sounds so much like a purring engine in action, fronted by computerized vocals, and big room-shuddering beats.
