Brooklyn-based artist Mic Raygun will be releasing a new full-length effort, tentatively titled The Bushwick Chronicles and instead of releasing the album as a whole, Raygun plans to individually release each single during the rest of 2013. In some way, it destroys and yet reaffirms the concept of the album – at least in the sense that the material is supposed to be cohesive. “The Beat is Blue” is the first single and the track is a languid, breezy bit of psychedelica – it feels a bit like daydreaming during a summer day.
