Cascine Records, the label home to the likes of Rush Midnight, Chad Valley and others will be releasing the Belgian electro pop act, Keep Shelly in Athens’ debut effort, At Home. “Oostende” is the second and latest single off their debut and it continues Cascine Records’s reputation for releasing slickly produced electro-based pop that frequently sounds as though it could have been released in the mid 80s – or now. For some reason, thanks to lead vocalist Sarah P’s vocals, the track reminds me a little bit of Polly Scattergood – there’s a plaintive, emotional urgency beneath the seemingly cold synths.
