Comprised of French duo Adrien Cau (clarinet, bass clarinet) and Benoit Paramentier (percussion, drums), along with Layla Kim (synths, piano), Rick Tipton (samples, electronic sounds), and Sjur Opsal (bass, double bass), Kinkajous is a London, UK-based band that’s part of a growing electro-acoustic scene which includes Cinematic Orchestra, Jaga Jazzist, Ibrahim Maalouf and Portico Quartet and the incredible Bonobo.  

“Limb” is the first single (and video) from the quintet’s forthcoming debut, slated for an October 18 release, and the single manages to possess a gorgeous, cinematic quality – while being mesmerizing. In some way, thanks to its propulsive drumming, the track manages to sound vaguely Eastern-inspired, evoking a trippy, mesmerizing feel.
