Consisting of childhood friends, Darren Weiss (drummer/vocals) and Danny Present, the Los Angeles-based duo of PAPA’s earliest influences were punk rock – and although the band sonically plays indie rock, as you’ll see in this live footage of “Put Me To Work,” the latest single of the band’s most recent effort, Tender Madness, the band plays with the sort of passion and energy of a punk rock show. 

Much like their performance, the song has a passionate, earnestness that seems incredibly rare in an age of sneering irony, and it was something that just won me over. I think it will for you, too.
