Dave Tudi, writing and performing under the pseudonym of Dave Hex, made a name for himself in NYC’s underground rock scene with Triple Hex. He also recently wrote a track on La La Brooks’ (of the Crystals) latest album. His newest project, BreastMilk is a fundamental change in sonic direction as he goes from sleazy garage rock to a sleek, minimalist electronica with vintage synthesizers and keyboards over his brooding baritone. In some way, it’s strangely reminiscent of Joy Division/New Order as you’ll hear on “Nite Life,” the first single off the project’s debut effort, No Destination.
