“Horses Fell” is the fourth and latest single from the Darcy’s forthcoming third and final album in a conceptual trilogy, Warring. The song reveals a couple of things — that the band has an adept way of blurring genre boundaries in a subtle, seemingly unrecognizable way. in particular, you’ll hear a bit of R&B in the smoothness of the vocals; industrial music in the clanging drums; indie rock in the guitars … Thematically the song reportedly is partially a love song, and partially a breakup song, as the narrator has a moment of clarity in his relationship, recognizing the fact that in order to find their own happiness, that he will have to hurt his lover. If you’ve been in that position, it’s a terrible feeling but one that we all have to face at some point …

The official video follows a sad, looney and either somewhat delusional man who at times seems hopelessly stuck in his own past in Reno, NV. Visually,  the video is striking and has an air of profoundly unsaid hurt that you can see in the video’s protagonists eyes.
