I caught the Los Angeles, CA-based trio the Vim Dicta at Piano’s on Monday night, and from this live footage that I shot, their sound owes a debt to Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin and the like – it’s full of bluesy power chords, complex chord changes with time signature changes and more. (I had actually recorded video of their upcoming single and stupidly stopped recording when it reached a relatively quiet point, thinking that the song was over. Oops. But in this case, we got two totally different but impressive tracks live.)
