If there’s one R&B album from the 80s that i love immensely, it’s Chaka Khan‘s I Feel For You – let’s face it, Chaka Khan has an incredible voice. And of course, “I Feel For You” is one of my favorite songs from that album. Interestingly, a lot of people have forgotten that this song is a cover of Prince’s “I Feel For You.” Khan’s version is full of early 1980s brashness and swagger, and it’s infectiously joyous. The track has become a staple of R&B/soul/old school DJs and every time i’ve heard them spin “I Feel For You,” the crowd loses their minds.

Also, listen to the bass line. it’s ridiculously funky.
