If you’ve followed this site over the last few months, you would know that I’ve written about the Los Angeles, CA-based  quartet Dorothy, named after their founder and lead vocalist. And with the release of their first two singles “After Midnight” and “Wild Fire,” the quartet quickly won over the attention of the blogosphere for a sound that was comprised of elements of riff-heavy classic rock/glam rock and the blues, paired with a soulful vocalist.

The band’s third and latest single “Wicked Ones” continues the band’s quickly developing reputation for a sleazy, blues-orientated rock that sounds as though it owes a debt to The Black Keys and Dirty Ghosts but somehow bluesier, sleazier and with a balls-out swagger. Check out the blistering guitar solo at the bridge, around 2 minutes in and tell me how this track doesn’t kick ass.
