Earlier this month, I was at Brooklyn Bowl to catch the 13th Annual Slick Rick Bash. This year’s edition was practically a who’s who of old-school and contemporary hip-hop that featured the man of the night, Slick Rick, along with DJ Kaos, Large Professor, who DJ’d and did a couple of verses from classic Main Source tunes, Chubb Rock and Big Daddy Kane. There was also a guest appearance from Busta Rhymes, who gave his hero a birthday cake.
