Live Concert Photography: Anna Rose at The Bowery Electric 11/14/19
I’ve spent more than a decade as a music journalist, critic and blogger — with the bulk of that time writing on this site. And during that period of time, I’ve probably written and photographed New York-based singer/songwriter, guitarist and Anna Rose. Interestingly, during that same time, the longtime JOVM mainstay has restlessly and effortlessly bounced back and forth between singer/songwriter folk, bluesy power cord rock and Americana and country-tinged rock over the course of her growing, critically applauded catalog that includes two EPs and three albums — her self-titled EP, her full-length debut Nomad, 2013’s Behold a Pale Horse, 2016’s Strays in the Cut EP and her recently released The Light Between, which includes the slow-burning Paul Moak-produced and Rose and Mando Saenz co-written “Nobody Knows I’m Here.”
Last week, Anna Rose played a hometown, headlining album release show at The Bowery Electric that was primarily centered around The Light Between with some fan favorites including “Los Angeles” and others. Check out photos from the show below.
